Type 8098 FLOWave S: now available with IO-link and HazLoc option
The Type 8098 FLOWave S flow meter is now available with optional IO-link as well as a Hazardous Location Class 1 Division 2 (HazLoc C1D2) approval.
FLOWave S is a compact inline flow sensor for fluids. The flow measurement is conducted using the principle of surface acoustic waves (SAW). This measurement method, which prevents the medium from coming into contact with the sensor, makes the FLOWave exceptionally durable, interference-resistant, and suitable even for non-conductive media.
Why FLOWave S uses IO-Link
IO-Link enables the transmission of process, device, and diagnostic data from field devices to the higher-level automation system. In addition to extensive functionality for parameterization and diagnostics, installation can be carried out quickly and with minimal wiring requirements, thanks to IO-Link’s standard connectors and cables.
This allows FLOWave S to integrate seamlessly into your existing system and be incorporated easily into all common fieldbus and automation systems.

Comprehensive explosion protection: ATEX, IECEx and HazLoc approvals for FLOWave S
In addition to ATEX and IECEx approvals, Type 8098 FLOWave S is now also available with the Hazardous Locations Class 1 Division 2 (HazLoc C1D2) approval for the North American market. This means that FLOWave S can be deployed worldwide in hazardous areas where there is a risk of explosion or fire due to flammable gases, vapor or dust.
