Four Tech Talks – compact and informative

The Tech Talks address current topics in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. We at Bürkert have a lot to say about this! The topics? Digitalisation, sustainability, process reliability and industry standards. In addition to our Bürkert experts, we have also invited a guest speaker from Siemens. And the bonus: let’s talk about your specific challenges in the process industry afterwards. Simple, compact, free of charge: directly at our exhibition stand with a delicious drink, in approx. 15–20 minutes.  Register now and secure your place. You are also welcome to attend several of our Tech Talks.

Here are our industry hits for you:

Tech Talk 1: Benefit from the advantages of the digital twin technology

Find solutions more easily and quickly

A digital twin can be an important component of future-proof digitalisation. Digital twins can simulate real processes throughout the entire product life cycle and show how changing variables will affect them. Learn from a few examples what a digital twin can do in the various phases of the product life cycle and how you can benefit from it.

Who will be speaking?
Dr. Anne März, Head of Digital Tool Chain, Bürkert Fluid Control Systems

Tech Talk 2: Process and investment security

Your added value from the long-standing partnership between Bürkert and Siemens

In close co-operation with Siemens over many years, Bürkert offers fully integrated, electro-pneumatic valve terminals. Your advantage: you can implement standardised automation concepts in ATEX and non-ATEX areas in process plants in the proven Siemens “ecosystem”. The long product life cycles, continuous technological optimisation and high availability of spare parts protect your investment in the long term. Another plus point: thanks to software integration, extensive control and diagnostic options are available. In this Tech Talk, Siemens and Bürkert report on the advantages in specific example applications and give an outlook on further developments.

Who will be speaking?
Ulf-Martin Kappler, Product Owner SIMATIC ET 200iSP, Siemens AG
Heiko Kurtz, Head of Sales Team Pharma & Biotech Germany, Bürkert Fluid Control Systems

Tech Talk 3: Bring more sustainability to your processes

With innovative valve technology and smart solutions

In the energy-intensive process industry in particular, rising energy costs are a constantly growing cost factor. It is therefore worth exploring new avenues – even when it comes to optimising production processes. How can we support you with your sustainability strategy in the long term? Our Tech Talk will give you a brief insight using the example of innovative and evolutionary fluidics solutions: How we optimise energy efficiency through new approaches to component design and material selection with regard to energy properties. What influence hygienic measurement technology and maximum system integration can have on sustainable processes. Let’s realise the potential of your systems together.

Tech Talk 4: ASME BPE: Insights and News

Everything you need to know about the ASME BPE standard and its further development

The American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Bioprocessing Equipment Division (ASME BPE) documents the requirements for the construction of equipment used in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. The current revision of the ASME BPE expands the specifications to include the special requirements of single-use processes. This creates the prerequisites for ASME BPE certification for critical equipment parts such as seals and diaphragm valves. Find out more about the latest developments in this important standard and much more in this tech talk.

Who will be speaking?
Andrew Lamore, Vice-Chairperson ASME BPE Standard, Chairperson Executive Committee

Focus on applications and processes

At Achema 2024 we will present our accumulated knowledge from the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. If you want to delve even deeper, you are welcome! Find out more about our know-how in the areas of multi-use, API and biotech here.

Reliable monitoring, measurement and control technology for manufacturing active pharmaceutical ingredients (API)

Safe, timely provision of quality pharmaceuticals is a major challenge. An indispensable matter here is the availability of active pharmaceutical ingredients, or API for short. The manufacture of these takes place under increasingly stringent controls whilst complying with the highest quality standards and documentation requirements. At the same time, high productivity is necessary to ensure cost-effectiveness - whilst keeping the use of resources to a minimum. Intelligent monitoring, measurement and control technology from Bürkert aids in the automation and optimisation of processes. You benefit from reliable processes, reduced CO2 emissions and ultimately, consistently high product quality.

The smarter, the more efficient – Bürkert solutions for the Biotech industry 4.0

Single-use processes offer many advantages, especially in biotechnology, such as savings in cleaning biotechnical systems and improved process efficiency and the associated significantly reduced production times. Bürkert therefore supplies single-use solutions for more efficient and better production of biopharmaceutical drugs as well as digital interfaces for the Biotech industry 4.0.

All bio pharmaceutical production under control

Like many sectors, the pharmaceutical industry is also undergoing digital change. Medicines have to be manufactured in ever faster time-to-market cycles, and pharmaceutical plants have to work more efficiently, more sustainably and more intelligently. Without jeopardising the highly sensitive process reliability.
