Summary:
The Hygienic Technician will need to perform hand finishing and hand polishing of manufactured components. This includes manually removing all machining marks and posses the ability to blend tangent surfaces in metal alloys. Edge breaks are also a key category to ensure that all manufactured components are safe to handle and match GD&T requirements
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze and ensure accuracy of work orders, drawings, and quality specifications.
- Coordinate with other functional areas as needed to implement and maintain quality requirements.
- Maintain continual knowledge of production progress at each cell and provide status updates to management as needed.
- Work closely with the Manufacturing Manager on all new projects to effectively devise the most accurate and expedient solutions.
- Participate in LEAN manufacturing activities
- Maintain knowledge of current industry trends, processes and tool information
- Have the ability to maintain tight Ra specifications consistently on contoured manufactured components using manual hand tools, pneumatic hand tools and electric hand tools
- Familiarization with CNC machining and welding in order to communicate with the full process chain is a plus
- Must be highly skilled with metrology equipment: micrometers, calipers, profilometers, gage pins, height gages, and 3D scanners to be accountable for the work performed.
- Build and manufacture jigs and fixtures when required to support and stabilize work piece.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Blueprint reading, basic math, and understanding of metrology instruments.
- Strong working knowledge of all GD&T symbols and applications.
- Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Must have very strong and effective communication skills.
- Willingness and desire to learn and receive training as needed.
- Strong ability to pass along knowledge to team.
- Basic to mid-level machine maintenance knowledge.
- Maintaining tolerances within ±0.012 mm.
- Proficient with precision measurement tools.
- Education and Experience:Polishing in a manufacturing environment: 5-10 years
- Dental or Manufacturing experiences are preferred
- Technical Certificate with a minimum of two years of hands on experience, Journeyman's Certificate is a plus.
